Day 1 and jet lag
Jambo from Kenya! We have arrived and are delighted to be here! We were greeted by the sights, sounds and smells of Africa, but what was most noticiable was how WARM it is here!!After a restful night's sleep, we've spent a day of team building, orientation with Dotun to the East African culture, and sharing of our hopes for this trip. It was also a blessing for all of us to have a bit of quiet time to refresh and renew. We're preparing for the refugee retreat which begins on Thursday. We also did some forward planning regarding our individual projects for the following week. It was inspiring to talk with each other, sharing the different ways that God is uniquely working in each of our lives and how He has worked to bring each of us here. We are looking forward to all that God is going to do in the next two weeks and will love sharing all of it with you. Thank you again for all that each of you have done to help us to make this journey. Pray for us.

So glad that you arrived safely! We are thinking about you and praying for you.
We are a teensy bit jealous of you sitting there in your SHORT SLEEVES! But don't worry, we'll save some sub zero temps for you!
Great to hear everyone arrived safely and it was an uneventful flight (the best kind). The team and the people attending the retreat are in our prayers!
Funny I was just noticing how COLD it is here! But ahh yes we will save some for you all upon your safe return!
Mark did you find out what "Simba" means??
